CAMERA & COMPOSITION
Isometric
Camera Toolkit
Frame your party. Explore the map. Return to the action.

Actual Last Lantern integration capture. Its environment, characters, Lighting and Arcane Foundry effects are not included.
Four views. One camera workflow.
Start with guided scene setup and four editable presets. True Isometric uses orthographic projection at 45° yaw and 35.2643897° pitch. Classic CRPG and Sprite World use dimetric orthographic framing; Modern CRPG uses perspective. Preserve an existing camera's framing or explicitly apply the preset.
Follow, explore and return.
Smooth single-character or selected-party root follow, configurable group framing, pointer-centred zoom, pan/drag, optional edge scrolling and rotation. Author cinematic shot sequences with blend, hold, skip and return to live follow. Rectangular map bounds, focus clip protection and target-loss handling support integration with your game.
Connect your own controls.
Includes readable C# source, guided setup, four presets, optional keyboard/mouse input adapters, an opt-in compatible-shader foreground fade adapter and a minimal example with original primitive geometry. No Cinemachine, Lighting or Arcane Foundry dependency. Your game supplies character movement, navigation and combat.
ACTUAL TOOLKIT IN MOTION
Follow. Explore. Return to the action.
Actual shipped Camera Toolkit 0.3.3 runtime in Unity 6.3. A simple publisher-made test grid and markers demonstrate movement; this recording fixture is separate from the included sample. Silent 16-second demonstration.

Verified setup & limits.
Unity 6.3 LTS and newer (tested 6000.3.27f1 and 6000.6.7f1); Windows x64 Mono; Built-in renderer and URP 17.3+ (tested 17.3.0 and 17.6.0). Optional Input System 1.20.1 is installed separately. Unity versions before 6.3 LTS, other platforms, HDRP and IL2CPP are not certified.
Designed for XZ-ground / Y-up games. One rig owns the camera transform and lens. Group framing fits target roots, not mesh or HUD extents; bounds and zoom caps take priority over containment. Extreme lens shift can prevent a centred padded fit. Custom/stereo/jitter/oblique projections are not certified. Foreground fading requires a compatible shader float and one fade owner. No frame-rate or weak-hardware guarantee is made.
ACTUAL CAMERA CAPTURES / SEPARATE DEMO ART
Choose your view.
The Last Lantern captures demonstrate camera framing. Their art, Lighting and spell effects are not supplied with this toolkit. These are not performance benchmarks.
Before you purchase
Does my team need extra seats?
For website and itch.io purchases, no. One purchasing person or legal entity may share source with employees and contractors working on its own projects. The expanded grant also applies to existing direct buyers, superseding older seat wording in their downloads. Unrelated entities need their own license; standalone redistribution remains prohibited. Unity Asset Store purchases follow Unity’s separate EULA and Tools seat requirements.
Can I use it without other IsoAssets products?
Yes. Cinemachine, Lighting and Arcane Foundry are not required. The package supplies a camera workflow, not a complete game.
What updates and support are included?
Direct download 0.3.4 contains the unchanged tested 0.3.3 Unity package, plus the expanded license. It includes updates we choose to release for this Unity edition. Use purchase recovery for downloads. No fixed schedule, future-product entitlement, custom integration or lifetime support is promised. Contact hello@isoguild.com for issues in the advertised setup.
How was it made?
OpenAI Codex assisted runtime/editor C#, the example shader, documentation, tests and tooling. The owner directed scope and iterative revisions informed by independent reports. Promotional screenshots are genuine renders from the separate Last Lantern demo. No AI-generated bitmap art is included in the camera package.
